WSJ: US Intelligence says only 50 hostages may be alive
The assessment, based in part on Israeli intelligence, is more pessimistic than the official Israeli count of at least 25 more live hostages.

The Wall Street Journal reported today (Thursday) that mediators involved in the hostage talks and a US official familiar with the latest US intelligence believe that as few as 50 hostages are still alive.
This number is lower than the official Israeli live hostage count by 25.
Neither the Israeli nor American government responded to the Wall Street Journal for comment.
Hamas has thus far refused to accept the Biden outline for a hostage deal as confirmed by the Security Council, adding changes to the proposal which Israelis consider a "non-starter."
