Rapaport Rips Anti-Semite Mamdani: ‘Zohran the Moron’ Threatens NYC’s Jews
Michael Rapaport fiercely denounced NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani as an antisemitic hypocrite for his anti-Israel rhetoric, urging New Yorkers to resist his divisive agenda. The comedian’s passionate defense of Israel and commitment to staying in the city highlight the stakes of Mamdani’s dangerous policies in the 2025 election.

Jewish comedian and staunch Israel supporter Michael Rapaport unleashed a blistering attack on New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, branding him “Zohran the Moron” in a fiery podcast rant. Rapaport, a proud New Yorker, condemned Mamdani’s anti-Semitic rhetoric, warning, “I’ve heard a lot of people say that if Zohran the Moron wins the election, you’re going to leave New York. New Yorkers, if Zohran the Moron wins the election, don’t go anywhere.” He called Mamdani a “terrorist supporter, socialist bulls artist” and an outsider, declaring, “He’s not even from here.” Rapaport vowed to stay and fight, stating, “I’m never leaving New York for a Three-Card Monte playing bulls, artist like you, Zohran the Moron. If this guy wins, we need to blame ourselves. We need to dust ourselves off and make New York great again.”
Mamdani, a 33-year-old Democratic Socialist who won the June 2025 Democratic primary, has sparked outrage among New York’s 1.1 million-strong Jewish community with his hypocritical refusal to condemn the phrase “globalize the intifada,” a call linked to violence against Jews. His backtracking to business leaders, promising to avoid the phrase, rings hollow given his support for the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which seeks to delegitimize Israel, the only Middle Eastern nation protecting Jewish and LGBTQ+ rights.
Rapaport, who has visited Israel five times since Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack that killed 1,200, shared his anguish, telling i24 News, “The thing that I see the most, that resonated with me the most, is the ripping down of hostage posters. And I know that doesn’t hurt anybody, but it hurts my soul.” Despite Instagram flagging his account over an AI-generated Holocaust image, Rapaport continues advocating for Israel, donating generously to IDF soldiers and victims of Hamas’s brutality.
Mamdani’s policies, like a proposed rent freeze, threaten New York’s economy, but his anti-Semitic stance ignoring Hamas’s atrocities while vilifying Israel is particularly disgusting. Social media on X echoed Rapaport’s fury, with one user posting, “Mamdani’s antisemitism is a disgrace NYC Jews won’t stand for it!” As Israel fights Hamas, which holds 50 hostages and has killed 895 Israelis since 2023, Mamdani’s hypocrisy endangers the city’s Jewish community, making Rapaport’s defiance “I’m going nowhere” a rallying cry for those who cherish New York’s diversity and Israel’s survival.
