In the military arena, the Gaza Strip has, unwillingly and due to circumstances, become a kind of live training ground for combat in built-up areas. Maneuvers, house-to-house fighting, dealing with tunnels, an elusive enemy, and a dense civilian population, all these create a real operational laboratory that cannot be replicated through dry training exercises.

In this sense, Gaza can be seen as a springboard, not only for managing a local conflict, but as a comprehensive, systemic preparation of infantry, intelligence, engineering, and communications forces for a potentially much more complex campaign, first and foremost in Iranian cities.

If and when Israel, or an Abraham Accords coalition, is required to operate directly within Iran's sovereign territory, including seizing areas, dismantling nuclear facilities, or liberating occupied populations, the fighting will be urban, under advanced threats, and will require exceptionally well-trained soldiers.

The combat operations in Gaza serve as an accurate, irreplaceable pre-training for the thousands of soldiers who may one day have to land in Iranian cities , through a combined air, sea, and ground campaign, and achieve precise control while avoiding mass ratio of civilian casualties.
