“We Can’t Stay Silent”: Hostage Videos Spark Outrage Across Israel
Israeli and international celebrities, including Ran Danker and Jessie J, have passionately called for the immediate release of hostages Evyatar David and Rom Braslavsky after Hamas released videos showing their dire conditions. The outcry reflects growing frustration with the ongoing captivity of 50 hostages and the urgent need to end their suffering.

A wave of Israeli and international artists, musicians, and actors have taken to social media to demand the immediate release of hostages Evyatar David and Rom Braslavsky, following the release of distressing videos by Hamas and Islamic Jihad showing the captives in dire conditions. With 50 hostages still held in Gaza, the footage sparked outrage. Israeli singer and actor Ran Danker wrote, “We must unite and demand their release all at once, now. Indifference kills like the fires of hell.” Actress Maya Dagan added, “We can’t stay silent anymore. We can’t live as if nothing happened. They’re fading before our eyes. Bring them back already!”
Singer Rami Kleinstein expressed anguish, stating, “How can we travel abroad, go to the beach, or buy a new car? How can we go on when Evyatar David and Rom Braslavsky are buried underground, skin and bones? Fifty hostages remain, 20 alive, their time running out!” British singer Jessie J shared Evyatar’s video, writing, “This is heartbreaking. I can’t fathom the evil in this world. Please, G-d, stop this suffering.” Noa Kirel, referencing Evyatar’s sister’s speech at Hostage Square, said, “My heart is broken. I think of him and his family every hour. Bring them all home!” Actress Noa Koler demanded, “Enough! Get them out of hell. Stop the war.”
Comedian Eli Finish noted, “When they talk about hunger in Gaza, my heart aches for our hostage brothers, not our hypocritical enemies.” Singer Omer Adam wrote in English, “It’s unthinkable we live in a reality where our brothers are still hostages in Gaza. Seeing this, I can’t believe it.” Omri Glickman of Hatikva 6 added, “I miss and worry for this sweet guy I’ve never met. Evyatar, we’ll meet soon, I refuse to imagine otherwise. They must come home, all of them.” Social media on X amplified the calls, with one user stating, “Celebrities are right, Hamas’s cruelty demands action now!”
