The Israeli Air Force carried out a series of intensive airstrikes across Iran on Tuesday, targeting ballistic missile launchers, radar installations, and air defense systems in western parts of the country, according to a statement from the IDF.

The strikes, part of the ongoing Operation Rising Lion, reportedly focused on strategic military infrastructure. "Israeli fighter jets struck numerous ballistic missile launchers and related facilities," the IDF said. The military also confirmed earlier attacks against Iranian radar systems and air defenses in the same region.

At the same time, Israel intensified its aerial campaign in the Iranian capital. Multiple explosions were reported across Tehran, with eyewitnesses describing heavy smoke billowing from the Al-Mahdi area in the city’s north. Israeli warplanes reportedly struck dozens of high-value targets, igniting fires and widespread panic.

Adding to the tension, Turkey claimed on Tuesday that Israeli fighter jets violated its airspace. According to the Turkish daily Doğru Haber, Turkish F-16s were scrambled to intercept the aircraft and issued warnings over radio communication. Turkish military forces have since raised the alert level, closely monitoring the eastern border with 24/7 surveillance systems.

The latest wave of Israeli strikes comes amid heightened regional volatility, now in its fifth day since Israel launched its military offensive against Iran on June 13. The strikes followed Iran’s missile retaliation on Israeli cities, which killed at least eight civilians and triggered further Israeli escalation.

Operation Rising Lion has so far claimed the lives of top Iranian officials, including Revolutionary Guards commander Gen. Hossein Salami, and caused severe damage to nuclear infrastructure, including the Natanz enrichment facility. The underground Fordo facility, however, reportedly remains intact.

With both Israeli and U.S. forces on high alert and Iranian rhetoric intensifying, the risk of regional spillover looms large.
