Lebanon's Army caught between two fronts

Lebanon's Army is having difficulty meeting its obligations to the ceasefire and demilitarizing southern Lebanon due to the eruption of the war in Syria, according to Lebanese news outlet LCBI.
Lebanon suffered a serious influx of refugees during the Syrian Civil War before it calmed down, leading to serious tensions with the Lebanese population as well as a number of terrorist threats.
In order to forestall this happening again, the Army has now reportedly deployed some four regiments along the Lebanese-Syrian border, according to Lebanese security sources.
Such efforts hamper the Lebanese Army's stated obligations to enforce the demilitarization of southern Lebanon, though the Lebanese Army is presently trying to recruit additional soldiers to serve in the south.
