Baruch Dayan HaEmet: Tank soldier killed in Gaza, others wounded
This is the second such ambush along this route in recent days. More details inside.

The IDF Spokesperson announced today (Thursday) that a tank driver was killed and others wounded in an ambush in the Gaza Strip.
According to Army Radio reporter Doron Kadosh, the soldiers were driving along a route within the northern Gaza Strip, near Beit Hanoun, in an area the army has ostensibly controlled operationally for months.
The soldiers left the tank to participate in an anti-terror operation, exposing themselves to attack. Hamas terrorists then fired an anti-tank missile - which missed - but then used sniper fire, which killed one soldier and wounded three others.
The IDF responded with a powerful artillery and air bombardment, hitting some 40 Hamas targets in the area.
