FBI Director Kash Patel Uncovers Sensitive Trump-Russia Probe Documents
FBI Director Kash Patel uncovered thousands of hidden Trump-Russia probe documents in a secure FBI room, including a classified annex to the Durham Report. Now under Senate review, the findings suggest foreign intel foresaw FBI actions, fueling claims of coordinated efforts to link Trump to Russia.

FBI Director Kash Patel has uncovered thousands of sensitive documents related to the Trump-Russia investigation hidden in “burn bags” within a previously undisclosed secure room at FBI headquarters, sources told *Fox News Digital*. The documents, found in a sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF), include the classified annex to former Special Counsel John Durham’s final report on the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane probe. Patel has turned these over to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley for review and public release.
The discovery, detailed by *Fox News*, includes evidence suggesting foreign intelligence predicted the FBI’s role in promoting the Trump-Russia collusion narrative before the 2016 Crossfire Hurricane investigation began. A source familiar with the annex described the intelligence as predicting FBI actions “with alarming specificity,” lending credence to claims of a coordinated effort to link Trump to Russia during the Clinton campaign. The declassification process involves CIA Director John Ratcliffe, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and acting NSA Director William Hartman.
Patel, a former chief investigator for the House Intelligence Committee under then-Chair Devin Nunes, revealed the secret room’s existence in a June 2025 interview with Joe Rogan, describing it as filled with documents and hard drives “no one had ever seen or heard of.” The find follows Patel’s role in exposing surveillance abuses against Trump campaign aide Carter Page, detailed in the 2018 Nunes Memo, which confirmed the FBI’s use of the Clinton-funded Steele dossier to obtain FISA warrants.
Grassley’s team is reviewing the documents, with the declassified annex expected to shed light on alleged intelligence community malfeasance. Patel has also launched criminal investigations into former CIA Director John Brennan and former FBI Director James Comey, based on referrals and findings tied to the Russia probe. Former FBI Director Christopher Wray and Comey did not respond to *Fox News* requests for comment.
