Netanyahu and Putin Talk: "I condemn any harm to civilians"

The Prime Minister and the Russian President spoke over the phone for the first time since the Hamas attack.

Prime Minister spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin for the first time since the outbreak of the fighting. Putin condemned any harm to civilians and offered to mediate a de-escalation.

The Kremlin reported that they maintained a number of talks with leaders in the Middle East, including Egyptian President Sisi, the King of Jordan, and Prime Minister Netanyahu.

During the conversation between Netanyahu and Putin, the Russian President explained that he condemns the harm to Israeli citizens and Israeli families, stressing that he is against any action harming innocent women and children.

According to the Kremlin statement, Netanyahu and Putin discussed the “serious escalation.”
