Argentine fans parade Israeli flag coffin, wave Palestinian flags, before match | WATCH
Before game against Jewish-linked team, All Boys fans carry mock coffin with Israeli flag; DAIA calls protest antisemitic incitement.
Ahead of a match between Club Atlético All Boys and Atlanta, a team closely associated with Argentina’s Jewish community, All Boys supporters staged a disturbing display outside the Malvinas Argentinas stadium. Fans waved Palestinian flags as men in hazmat suits carried a coffin draped with an Israeli flag, sparking outrage and condemnation.
Flyers scattered in the area read “Free Palestine” and “Israel and Atlanta are the same crap,” drawing a swift response from Jewish umbrella organization DAIA (Delegación de Asociaciones Israelitas Argentinas), which labeled the act antisemitic and called on authorities to take immediate legal action.
Argentina’s Minister of National Security, Patricia Bullrich, also weighed in, warning that if the Buenos Aires municipality fails to respond by Monday, she will take action herself. The incident has reignited concerns over rising antisemitism in Argentine sports culture and the need for stronger enforcement against hate speech and incitement.
