Real estate agents scream "We'll burn your Palestine" at Rima Hassan, office then set ablaze
Arson hits Marseille Orpi branch after agents’ verbal attack on anti-Israel EU lawmaker.

In the night from Friday to Saturday, an Orpi real estate agency was set on fire in the 12th arrondissement of Marseille, according to corroborating sources from Figaro. This comes just after the dismissal of two real estate agents from the same network who had insulted European MP Rima Hassan, by screaming "We'll burn your Palestine!"
In the middle of the night, a fire was started on the sidewalk in front of the agency, which quickly spread to the facade, the front door, and the mailbox. Firefighters intervened to extinguish the flames while forensic police arrived at the scene on Saturday to make observations. The agency managers filed a complaint, and an investigation has been opened for arson. Investigators will particularly be able to rely on the neighborhood's video surveillance.
A video of the fire, for the moment unauthenticated, has been widely shared on social networks, notably by right-wing senator Valérie Boyer, who sees a direct link with the recent controversy involving Rima Hassan, who claims that it is an image created by artificial intelligence.
In a statement released on Friday, the main real estate network in France condemned the "unacceptable" remarks made by its employees: "these discriminatory and threatening words in no way reflect the policy of Orpi France."
The president of the group apologized to Ms. Rima Hassan for this disgraceful behavior and reaffirmed 'his unwavering commitment to respect and human dignity. ''Let her call for calm instead of continuing her hateful and irresponsible campaign. Full support for ORPI and the residents,' said Valérie Boyer.
The mayor of the 11th and 12th arrondissements of Marseille, Sylvain Souvestre, also condemned this fire, stating: 'the owners are local people, a couple with nothing to do with the Israeli-Palestinian conflict." For now, the Opri group has not yet responded to the fire.
