Terror in Jerusalem: 14-year-old terrorist detained after stabbing elderly Jew

Rescue and police forces were called to the Neve Ya'akov neighborhood in Jerusalem following a stabbing attack in which a 64-year-old man was wounded and is in mild-moderate condition.

A 64-year-old man is in mild-to-moderate condition after being stabbed in the Neve Ya'akov neighborhood in Jerusalem today (Wednesday). Following the incident, Jerusalem police opened a manhunt for the terrorist who escaped the crime scene. A 14-year-old resident of East Jerusalem suspected of carrying out the attack was arrested during the search.

MDA paramedic Akiva Polak recalled: "The injured man was standing at the bus stop fully conscious with stab wounds to his upper body. He told us that he was attacked by a passerby while waiting for the bus. We gave him initial medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital in mild-to-moderate condition."

The Hadassah Hospital reported: "A 64-year-old wounded in a stabbing incident in Neve Ya'akov was taken to the trauma unit at Hadassah Mount Scopus. He is conscious and stable, currently undergoing MRIs."
