Tomorrowland, the world-famous electronic music festival in Belgium, has been hit by turmoil this week. A massive fire destroyed the main stage’s scenery, and yesterday, a Belgium-based anti-Zionist group, the Hind Rajab Foundation, called for the arrest of two IDF soldiers attending the event after they raised a Givati Brigade flag.

The group accused the soldiers of “war crimes and genocide in Gaza” and filed a legal request with Belgium’s federal prosecutor to detain them under international jurisdiction laws.

A day later, an israeli citizen and an IDF soldier were briefly detained and questioned, before being released. The Minsitry of Foreign Affairs and the IDF said that they dealt with the situation and that they were in touch with the Israelis.

Undeterred, Israeli DJ Skazi, a global electronic music star, plans to take the stage on July 26, 2025, and proudly raise the Israeli flag, a signature part of his performances. “I’ll represent Israel with pride, no apologies,” Skazi declared, standing firm.

Skazi, a 20-year veteran of the electronic music scene, is one of Israel’s biggest names, known for blending psy-trance, EDM, and high-energy beats. His electrifying shows and strong connection with fans have made him a global icon, with the Israeli flag a constant presence at his performances worldwide.

Tomorrowland, which draws hundreds of thousands annually with its stunning stages and top-tier artists, is a cornerstone of electronic music culture. This year, however, the festival has been shaken by the fire and the flag dispute, adding tension to an already challenging event.

Skazi’s upcoming performance is shaping up to be more than a concert, it’s a bold statement of national pride. As criticism of Israel grows over the Gaza conflict, with artists and groups rallying against the country, Skazi aims to deliver a message of joy, music, and unapologetic love for Israel, flag in hand.
