After cancelling her 2024 tour at the last minute, amid lukewarm ticket sales and rumors of personal turmoil, Jennifer Lopez is finally back on stage. But the launch of her new Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour has been met with overwhelmingly negative reactions, both from critics and her own fans.

The tour, which kicked off with several shows in Spain, was meant to be a fresh start for the superstar after the abrupt cancellation of her previous tour, which was rebranded as a “greatest hits” show in an attempt to boost interest. Now that she's performing again, many online users are questioning whether she should have returned at all.

Viewers were quick to criticize Lopez’s live vocals as “mediocre at best,” with TikTok users and online commentators mocking everything from her outfits to her stage presence. “Please, someone give this woman a rom-com script and make her stop,” one user pleaded. Another joked about her performance of Love Don’t Cost a Thing, saying, “That outfit definitely didn’t cost a thing and it shows.” Others harshly dubbed her “the Beyoncé of Temu,” a jab at both her styling and perceived lack of originality.

These harsh reviews come in the wake of long-standing accusations that Lopez doesn’t sing most of her own songs in studio recordings. Just last year, background vocalist Natasha Ramos claimed in a series of TikToks that her voice, not Lopez’s, is featured prominently in the chorus of the hit Jenny From the Block. Ramos, who was credited on the 2002 album This Is Me... Then, insists her vocals were front and center in the final mix of the track, while Lopez’s were barely audible.

As Lopez pushes forward with her tour, the question remains: will she silence the critics or give them even more material?
