National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir responded today to U.S. President Trump's statement, in which he claimed he believes there will be a hostage deal next week, and said again that the war should end.
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir addressed this evening (Wednesday) the report of the new Qatari proposal, which includes releasing hostages in exchange for a ceasefire, and U.S. President Donald Trump's statement that he believes there will be a deal next week.
In a tweet he wrote, Ben-Gvir emphasized: "Ending the war in Gaza - not a second before defeating Hamas."
We recall that earlier today, U.S. President Donald Trump referenced once again his expected meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying "I will be very firm with Netanyahu about ending the war in Gaza. But he also wants to end this war. I believe there will be a deal next week."
As mentioned, Trump's words come ahead of his expected meeting with Netanyahu early next week at the White House. Earlier today Trump said that the two are expected to discuss in depth the Iranian issue, as well as the continuation of the war in the Gaza Strip. In addition, in response to reporters' questions, Trump announced that "we want to bring the hostages back."
This appears to be a news report about Israeli National Security Minister Ben-Gvir's response to President Trump's comments about ending the Gaza war and potential hostage negotiations.
