A car crashed into a bus stop on Route 57 at the western entrance to Kfar Yona Thursday morning, injuring eight people. The driver fled the scene on foot, and a large-scale police operation is underway to locate the suspect.

Initial eyewitness reports say the white Toyota vehicle accelerated toward the bus stop, hit several civilians, and continued driving. The car was later found abandoned near the site of the incident. Police confirmed that a helicopter was deployed and that crossings into Judea and Samaria have been closed.

Medical teams from Magen David Adom treated the injured at the scene. Two of the victims, a young man and woman in their 20s, were taken to the hospital in moderate condition with chest and limb injuries. Three others suffered mild to moderate injuries, and three more were lightly wounded. All victims were evacuated to Meir, Hillel Yaffe, and Laniado hospitals.

Laniado Hospital announced that it had declared a limited mass casualty protocol as more victims were expected.

Police are investigating the circumstances and have not yet officially labeled the incident as a terror attack. However, ZAKA, the volunteer emergency organization, reported receiving a notice of a suspected vehicular terror incident and stated that six victims were initially confirmed.

Special police units, helicopters, motorcycles, and canine teams are continuing the search for the suspect across roads and open areas. The district police commander has ordered the activation of all standby response teams in nearby communities.

Magen David Adom treated two moderate and six light injuries, with the wounded taken to hospitals in Netanya, Hadera, and Kfar Saba.

New details reveal that the attacker abandoned a Toyota with Israeli plates near Beit Lid. Police, Border Police, and elite units including drones, helicopters, and K9 teams launched a manhunt across agricultural fields and construction sites in and around Kfar Yona. After several hours of searching, security forces successfully apprehended the terrorist and his accomplice.

An injured soldier explained, “I was heading home to the north, showing my friend a video, and someone shouted, ‘It’s a Toyota, it’s a terrorist, he escaped.’ I have head and leg injuries—we were lucky, it was a miracle.”
