The European Commissioner gave half a million Euros to a leftwing institute led by former Meretz leader Zehava Galon with the aim of delegitimizing Prime Minister Netanyahu's reforms in the judicial and media system, according to Channel 14 News today (Sunday).

According to the report, the aim of the money was to delegitimize the judicial reforms as obviously unjust and undemocratic and to claim that the expansion of Channel 14 was an attempt for the government to cement its control of the media ecosystem.

This is the second revelation of open meddling in Israeli internal affairs since the revelation last week that the Biden administration funneled nearly a billion dollars to anti-Netanyahu groups via USAID, the Defense Department, and the State Department.
