Gaza Humanitarian Fund Offers To Deliver Aid For Free
The independent GHF offered to the UN to deliver the hundreds of trucks' worth of aid to hungry Gazan men, women, and children today, as many accuse Israel of responsibility for the food shortages.

The Gaza Humanitarian Fund offered today (Wednesday) to the UN to transport the hundreds of trucks' worth of humanitarian aid to delivery points to feed the Gazan population for free.
While the UN and other international organizations are formally responsible for picking up this food and providing it to Gazans, COGAT said that they have decreasingly agreed to do so unless Hamas police is involved or walkie talkies - considered military equipment - are provided.
Consequently, there has been an increase in malnutrition and even reported cases of hunger in the areas of the Gaza Strip the IDF does not control, even though there is an enormous amount of aid just waiting to be distributed from the drop-off points.
The UN and other NGOs have refused to work with the GHF, and have repeatedly insisted on working with Hamas authorities to deliver aid even if it means terrorist armies continue to be properly supplied and fed and also paid through resale of aid. The GHF is meant to provide Gazans with food free of charge and without having to go through Hamas.
GHF Interim Director John Acree said that “We’ve been sounding the alarm for weeks on the need for more aid in Gaza while we’ve seen aid by the UN and other organizations being piled near the borders but not being delivered. Our top priority is feeding the people of Gaza, and we’re prepared to adjust our supply chains, work with the UN or other teams to organize the packaging and transport and distribute it to those in need, or we can work with organizations to provide security to ensure food reaches its intended destination. We are ready and able to start today.”
