Desperate Hostage Father: "I support a Palestinian State"
The father of a kidnapped Israeli, Nimrod Cohen, shocked the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee by publicly supporting a Palestinian state and an arms embargo on Israel, stating he will appeal to foreign entities to bring the hostages home.

Yehuda Cohen, father of kidnapped Nimrod Cohen, spoke today (Wednesday) before the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, declaring his public support for European recognition of a Palestinian state and for imposing an arms embargo on Israel.
Cohen said," I publicly support the initiative for recognition of a Palestinian state and for an arms embargo on Israel, because we are forced to appeal to foreign entities so that Netanyahu will do his duty and bring the hostages home.”
During the session, MK Tali Gottlieb shouted in protest, but Committee Chair Boaz Bismuth silenced her and allowed Cohen to continue speaking.
Gottlieb said, “And this will help? Not everything is allowed. You even appealed to The Hague ... I don’t care if you don’t want to hear me. There’s a limit, not everything is allowed.”
Later, MK Yuli Edelstein arrived and sat next to his replacement Bismuth. When the families of hostages left the hall, someone threatened: “Shame on the Knesset, we’ll burn this place down.”
Ofir Braslavski, the father of Rom Braslavski, who is also being held hostage in Gaza, delivered a powerful and emotional address at the meeting.
"A month has passed since the video where you saw my son dying," Breslavski said, his voice laced with pain and fury. "Does anyone care? This happened on your watch."
Braslavski went on to praise Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir as the only "real man" trying to make a difference, while accusing the political leadership of failing to prioritize the hostages.
"Nothing else matters besides the hostages," he stated emphatically.
