In recent days it was revealed that as part of the war against Iran, Israeli ground army forces also operated against Iran. The Chief of Staff said this aloud yesterday, and US President Donald Trump also hinted at this in a public statement earlier.

This evening (Thursday) new details were revealed with censorship approval, in the main news broadcast of Channel 13. According to the report by military correspondent Or Heller, this is a "breakthrough, even historic" commando operation, "an operation the likes of which we have never seen in the history of the IDF, an operation that utilized all the envelopes and capabilities of the IDF."

The report quoted a senior security source saying that "a commando operation was carried out that enabled new operations, which surprised the Iranians and contributed greatly to our capabilities to strike what Iran had prepared for this war."

The same security source also said this was "a significant and daring commando operation, based on creative thinking." According to him, "its existence was one of the conditions for Israel's entry into war against Iran."

Earlier this morning, the security establishment clarified that IDF fighters did not operate during the war on Iranian soil, but in one of the countries in the region.

Hours earlier, last night, during a media statement, Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir said among other things: "We achieved full control of Iranian skies and everywhere we chose to operate. These were made possible, among other things, thanks to integration and stratagem carried out by air forces and ground commandos. The forces operated covertly in the depth of enemy territory and created operational freedom of action for us."

US President Donald Trump said yesterday, during a NATO gathering held in The Hague, that Israeli forces were present at the Fordow facility after the bombing there. He said this as an aside and his words created public resonance.
