Palestinian Rioters Attack IDF Soldier and Israeli Civilian Near Duma — Shots Fired
Dozens hurl rocks at off-duty soldier and civilian; soldier responds with warning shots and neutralizes threat before backup arrives.

An off-duty IDF soldier and an Israeli civilian came under attack on Wednesday near the Palestinian village of Duma in the Samaria region. According to the IDF, dozens of Palestinian assailants hurled rocks at the two during civilian engineering work in the area.
The soldier responded by firing warning shots into the air, but the attackers continued throwing rocks. In response, the soldier fired to neutralize the threat, and a hit was confirmed. The rioters then attempted to snatch the soldier’s weapon.
Reinforcements from the IDF quickly arrived at the scene, bringing the incident to an end.
The IDF stated that both the soldier and the civilian sustained minor injuries from the rock-throwing and received medical treatment on-site.
