Report: Sinwar’s Wife Fled to Turkey With $2 Billion
IDF Brig. Gen. (res.) Erez Wiener claims Hamas leader’s wife escaped with massive fortune; outlines his plan to defeat the terror group.

IDF Brig. Gen. (res.) Erez Wiener revealed Tuesday in an interview with Noam Fathi and Shai Goldstein on Israel’s Channel 14 that the wife of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar fled to Turkey with approximately $2 billion he left her — and has since remarried.
“Sinwar left her about two billion dollars,” Wiener said. “He was a teacher, he was a plasterer — and somehow he accumulated wealth.”
Wiener then detailed what he sees as the necessary strategy to decisively defeat Hamas, drawing on global examples of armies defeating terror and guerrilla forces in civilian environments.
“The first step is control over resources — over civilian aid. The second is separating the civilian population from the terrorists, so that you control them — and then you encircle him,” Wiener explained. “From the last stage, we only let people out after inspection and clearance. Whoever remains will die of thirst, hunger, a soldier’s bullet, or surrender. That’s it.”
Wiener added that after Hamas’s defeat, any remaining fighters or hostile individuals should be deported: “From there, it’s on to Malaysia and Indonesia — I’ll put them on planes, ships, whatever it takes, and send them.”
The claims about Sinwar’s wife and fortune have not been independently verified, but they come amid ongoing scrutiny of Hamas leaders’ personal wealth and reports of assets hidden abroad.
