The IDF spokesperson published today (Monday) the findings of the investigation conducted following the missile strike in Haifa yesterday, which fell without prior warning.

In contrast to the initial investigation, the IDF acknowledges that it was a direct hit from an Iranian missile. This is a missile that, during its launch towards Israel, separated from its warhead. The interceptors were only fired at one part of the missile, while the warhead itself fell in Haifa, as mentioned, without any prior warning being activated at the site.

"Last night, a joint investigation by the Home Front Command and the Air Force was completed following the unannounced strike in Haifa as part of yesterday morning's barrage from Iran," stated the IDF spokesperson. "The findings indicate that there was a specific failure in the detection process, and as a result, a missile warhead fell in the Haifa area without providing a warning."

From the investigation, several lessons have been drawn that will be implemented immediately. The IDF constantly learns lessons and reiterates that the defense is not airtight. It should be emphasized that there was no gap in the warning system of the Home Front Command."

Yesterday, many residents in Haifa reported that they did not hear an alarm in the morning before the missile strike in the city, but only received a warning on their phones. Nonetheless, many of them entered a shelter. The strike in Haifa resulted in five people being lightly injured and several others suffering from anxiety.

It was reported in 'Kikar HaShabbat' yesterday that a Hasidic man from Belz was with his entire family in their home in Haifa, a home located in an old building that does not have a protected room. They hid under the table in the living room and just a few minutes later, the area sustained a direct hit, causing half of the house to collapse! The man and all of his family emerged unharmed and without a scratch, just wearing the clothes they had on. Students from the nearby Chabad Yeshiva immediately joined the rescue units of the rescue organizations, and despite the extensive destruction, they began to sing songs of gratitude for the great miracle that occurred before their eyes.
