New York Times Admits "Starving Palestinian Child" Has Degenerative Disease
After a photo of an allegedly starving child went round the world seeming to prove Israel has forced a famine in Gaza, the New York Times now admits this is false.

Days after a shocking image of a child in skeletal condition was published around the world, seemingly showing the reality of an outright famine in the Gaza Strip, the New York Times now admitted that the child in question was in fact suffering from a degenerative disease, not starvation:
The image of al-Mutawaq was plastered on multiple TV channels and print media, shocking public opinion around the world and leading to a cascade of hatred and criticism of Israel not only from its usual critics but also from its friends. Even President Donald Trump considered such pictures real.
Their apology was posted to a largely unfollowed X (Twitter) account NY Times Communications, instead of to their official accounts with millions of followers.
