Russia issues chilling threat: Allies may arm Iran with nuclear warheads
Medvedev claims U.S. actions in Iran triggered a shift toward nuclear escalation.

Former Russian President and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, claimed today (Sunday) that following the American strikes on nuclear facilities in Iran, "several countries" are ready to provide it with nuclear warheads.
In a post on social media platform X, Medvedev stated that the attacks carried out by U.S. forces in Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow achieved the "opposite result" of what U.S. President Donald Trump intended. According to him, Iran's nuclear cycle infrastructure "was not significantly damaged," and the process of enriching nuclear material – and even producing nuclear weapons – is expected to continue.
"Iran's political regime has survived, and perhaps even strengthened," he added. Medvedev argued that Iranians are rallying around their spiritual leadership, even among its former opponents. Additionally, the Russian Foreign Ministry condemned the American strikes today, stating that they "violate international law" and "Security Council resolutions." The ministry's statement noted that "acts of aggression must cease and diplomatic avenues must be resumed."
Medvedev criticized Trump personally, claiming that the American president "can forget about the Nobel Peace Prize, despite the corrupt nature of the prize." He also added that "instead of bringing peace, Trump has initiated a new war for the sake of the United States" – and warned of a possible ground confrontation in Iran.
