The IDF Took Over Jabalia: "This is No Longer the City it Used to Be"
Division 162 took over the Jabalia area. About 500 terrorists, including those who participated in the terrible massacre on October 7 surrendered and handed themselves over to the IDF. Division 162 is under operational control in Jabalia. The commander of the division, Brigadier General Itzik Cohen, says that "the city of Jabalia is not the Jabalia it used to be, we killed hundreds of terrorists in Jabalia."

As part of the forces' activity in the Jabalia refugee camp, about 500 suspects of terrorist activities surrendered, some of them are identified with the terrorist organizations Hamas and Islamic Jihad and were involved in the attack on settlements surrounding the Gaza Strip on Saturday, October 7.

Some of the surrendered terrorists barricaded themselves among the civilian population in hospitals and schools. In the fighters' activity, many enemy infrastructures were destroyed, including training complexes, underground and command and control complexes, and factories for the production of rockets.
Cohen adds: "The fighting of the division's forces resulted in the dismantling of the military capacity of the northern brigade of Gaza City. Thanks to the maneuver, we are operating in the heart of Gaza City with operational freedom, Division 162 will continue its operations in the Gaza Strip until the mission is completed."
