I24NEWS diplomatic affairs correspondent Amichai Stein reported Sunday evening that US President-elect Donald Trump has conveyed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that his administration will prioritize addressing the Iranian threat.

Trump reportedly emphasized that the application of Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria is not on his agenda.

According to Stein, Trump and his team have signaled that several other regional and international issues take precedence over the question of Israeli sovereignty.

In addition, Republican officials have relayed to their Israeli counterparts that despite Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s recent assertions that 2025 would be the “year of sovereignty,” any move in this direction would harm Israel’s standing in the current global climate.
