Zehut Party Chairman Moshe Feiglin appealed this evening (Monday) to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a letter calling to immediately convene the political-security cabinet and change the war objectives. In his remarks, he warned that refraining from doing so would lead to serious damage to the right-wing camp.

'Mr. Prime Minister, we woke up this morning to more political headlines according to which you are now dealing with preparing for elections in various configurations, instead of focusing on convening the cabinet and giving the order for rapid conquest and establishing full Israeli military rule throughout the entire Gaza Strip. Only such an order will bring victory,' Feiglin said in his letter. 'We are working nights and days on true internal connection between all parts of the national-religious camp with the intention of building a joint structure that will ensure significant representation for faithful-Zionist voters. We again call on you to focus on the only task that should occupy you now – and that is the absolute victory you promised.'

'I again call to unite behind the demand of the right-wing ministers, Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich, and to immediately convene the cabinet to change the war objectives,' he added. 'Our hostages are starving in Gaza because for two years we've refrained from deciding. We must do everything to win – even knowing that an assault might endanger their lives. This is the hard truth and it must be said courageously: national victory comes before the hostages. There is a price for national freedom and there is a price for decision. Any "deal" – meaning surrender – will generate more horrors, more kidnappings, and will dismantle the State of Israel knowingly.'

Feiglin noted that 'after extensive rounds of conversations with ministers and Knesset members from the national-religious and ideological camp, we determine: the people, the fighters and reservists are ready for the final blitz – but it must have a different and clear objective definition: victory! The national-religious alliance demands immediate convening of the cabinet, giving an order to conquer and decide all of the Gaza Strip, and establishing full Israeli military rule. Only this way will victory be achieved and only this way will security return to Israel.'

'I appeal to you directly: you have two options before you – to change the war objectives now, lead to decision, and receive the support of the entire national-religious alliance in a move that will be recorded to your credit as a historic victory; or to continue the political floundering, which will lead to the fall of your government and the establishment of a left-wing government,' Feiglin concluded. 'The choice is in your hands.'"
