Congress to Anti-Netanyahu NGO: You have one week to reveal funding sources
The House Foreign Affairs and Judiciary Committees have sent one of the primary NGOs who fueled the anti-judicial reform protests a letter warning them to disclose all funding or face the consequences.
The US House of Representatives has sent a second letter to Blue and White Future, one of the major NGOs behind the mass protests against the judicial reforms proposed in 2023, giving them one week to reveal the extent to which the Biden government bankrolled a side in an internal political battle, according to a Channel 14 report today (Tuesday).
According to Channel 14 reporter Tamir Morag, "the first letter served as a kind of ultimatum from the House Foreign Affairs and Judiciary Committees—demanding the organization hand over documents related to its funding, amid suspicions that part of the money was indirectly provided by the Biden administration with the intent of undermining Israel’s elected government and its democracy.
"The second letter states that Blue and White Future allegedly submitted only a partial and evasive response and failed to provide documentation regarding a massive sum of approximately $22 million received from two separate entities."
