Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced he will meet with President Donald Trump at the White House on September 29. The meeting is scheduled to take place just three days after Netanyahu’s address to the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The announcement came during an economic press conference, where Netanyahu confirmed that the invitation was extended during a phone call on Monday.

This will mark the fourth meeting between the two leaders since the beginning of President Trump’s second term, underscoring the frequent and close nature of their diplomatic relationship. Netanyahu also revealed that he has had "several conversations" with Trump since Israel's recent strike on Hamas leaders in Qatar, stating that all of their discussions have been "good."

When pressed by reporters about whether he notified President Trump ahead of the strike, Netanyahu reiterated his position that Israel was "solely responsible" for the operation. He declined to answer specific questions regarding the timing of any warning provided to the US, which has been the subject of several reports suggesting the US was informed approximately an hour before the strikes were carried out.

The upcoming meeting is considered a significant diplomatic event, as it provides an opportunity for the two leaders to discuss the recent sensitive operations in Qatar and other key regional issues. The timing of the visit, immediately following a major international forum, highlights the importance of the US-Israel relationship and the need for ongoing high-level coordination.
