A new CBS poll released today (Sunday) shows Kamala Harris holding a slight edge over Donald Trump nationally, 51-48, while the two candidates are dead even in battleground states. Democrats are also nearly as enthusiastic as Republicans to vote, 48-47.

The poll also shows a major gender divide among voters, with women voting for Harris 56-44 and men voting for Trump 54-44.

The economy and inflation remain the top issues for 83% and 72% of likely voters, respectively. For those for whom this is a major in voting decisions, Trump wins handily, with 56% and 61%, respectively.
