Psychotic Passenger Tries to Storm Cockpit, Forces EasyJet Flight into Emergency Landing

Airbus A320 en route from Lyon to Porto turned back after man in his 20s suffered acute psychotic episode mid-air.

According to reports, an EasyJet flight from Lyon to Porto was forced to return after a passenger attempted to break into the cockpit.

Passengers and crew managed to restrain the individual, and he was arrested and hospitalized after landing.

Reports indicate that shortly after the Airbus A320, flight U24429, took off from France, a Portuguese passenger in his 20s “entered a psychotic state” and tried to force his way into the cockpit.

Witnesses said that several passengers, along with crew members, subdued him. Upon landing, he was taken into custody by local police. The aircraft later resumed its journey and landed safely in Portugal

According to a police statement, the passenger suffered from an acute psychotic episode during the flight.
