John Acree, the acting director of the U.S.-based Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF), reported Tuesday that pro-Palestinian vandals targeted his vehicle outside his home in Virginia.

According to Acree, the attackers slashed the car’s tires, blocked its exhaust system, and spray-painted “Death to GHF” on his driveway.

The GHF was established under international pressure to distribute humanitarian assistance to Gaza and has received backing from both the Trump administration and the Israeli government. The fund was led by Jake Wood until his resignation in May 2025, when Acree took over as acting director.

No suspects have yet been identified, and local police are investigating. The attack adds to a growing wave of politically motivated intimidation and vandalism in the United States linked to the Gaza conflict.
