Trump: “Netanyahu Is a War Hero — And So Am I”
In fiery radio interview, U.S. president heaps praise on Israeli PM, claims credit for airstrikes on Iran, hostage releases, and stopping seven wars.

U.S. President Donald Trump praised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a late-night interview with conservative host Mark Levin, declaring: “He is a war hero — and since we worked together, so am I. I sent those planes to Iran.”
Trump said he was instrumental in Israel’s recent hostage releases, insisting: “Without me, not one hostage would have been freed. I got them all back. Parents and children wrote me letters thanking me.”
The president also boasted of preventing or ending multiple global conflicts: “I stopped six wars, and even a seventh nobody knows about because I prevented it before it began. I love stopping wars. I’ve saved hundreds of thousands, even millions of lives.”
Turning to domestic politics, Trump tore into Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, branding him “a Palestinian” and “the Palestinian senator from New York,” accusing Democrats of forgetting October 7.
He expressed disappointment at the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, which he said had not ended as easily as he expected: “I thought it would be the simplest war to stop, because I had good relations with Putin in my first term. He’s no angel. If he and I hadn’t understood each other, the U.S. would have been in danger.”
