AP Runs Sob Story Piece On Beeper Operation Victims
One of the most trusted sources in global news ran a piece exclusively focused on the small number of unintended victims of a major anti-terrorism operation.

The Associated Press, one of the most trusted news groups in the world and a major source of information, has published a story aimed at garnering sympathy from the victims of the successful exploding beeper and walkie talkie operation against Hezbollah today (Wednesday).
The piece, which claims to be unbiased and did not involve minders or handlers, focuses very strongly on the relatively small number of women and children wounded or maimed in the attack, even though far more of those injured or killed were Hezbollah terrorist operatives. This is true both of the stories selected and the pictures used, as opposed to the many, many pictures easily found on social media showing Hezbollah fighters with injuries in hospital and outside it.
The claims by human rights organizations regarding the attack being indiscriminate are given more play than Israel's denial or indeed the opinion of any expert on warfare, which would have revealed the ratio of combatants to civilians to be much more like discriminate attacks do, especially since the pagers, as AP itself admits, were meant solely for the use of Hezbollah terrorists.
The article mentions Hezbollah's indiscriminate attacks into Israel with missiles, anti-tank missiles, and rockets precisely once, claiming it is "in solidarity" with the Palestinians in Gaza rather than as an assisting military front as Hezbollah leaders themselves said repeatedly, arguing that their attacks prevented IDF soldiers from fully dealing with the Hamas military threat.
International media has disgraced itself multiple times throughout this conflict, repeatedly breaking neutrality and impartiality either out of fear of terrorists attacking journalists or sympathy with their motives and actions. Perfunctory lip service to the other side, in this and other articles, does not fool the present author, nor should it fool any intelligent media consumer.
In this war, in Gaza as in Lebanon, the dominant international media is on the side of the murderers.
