‘Pure Evil’: Father Slits 4-Year-Old Daughter’s Throat in Chilling Murder
Jerusalem police solved the brutal murder of a 4-year-old girl by her father in Tsur Baher, who also attacked family members before fleeing. The suspect faces an imminent indictment as the community grapples with the tragedy.

Jerusalem police announced they had solved the chilling murder of a 4-year-old girl in the Tsur Baher neighborhood of East Jerusalem, committed three weeks earlier on July 7. The suspect, a 34-year-old resident of Tsur Baher, allegedly slit his daughter’s throat, wrapped her in a blanket, returned her to her bed, and fled the scene. The investigation concluded, and the Jerusalem District Prosecution is set to file an indictment against him in the coming days. The suspect, who had visitation rights, collected his daughter from her mother’s home the previous evening and brought her to his parents’ residence, where he lived, intending to spend the night.
Around 3 a.m., the suspect took his daughter for what he claimed was a “stroll” in the garden. There, he retrieved a kitchen knife, slit her throat, and caused her death. Displaying chilling composure, he washed the knife in a garden tap, wrapped the girl’s body in her blanket, and placed her back on a bed in the living room. He then entered the bedrooms, stabbed his brother in the stomach, and injured his mother when she attempted to intervene. The suspect fled in his vehicle but was apprehended within minutes by Jerusalem Border Police in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood. District Commander Superintendent Yaniv Moyal conducted an on-site assessment, assigning the investigation to Oz Station detectives. The suspect’s detention was extended periodically by the court, culminating in a prosecutor’s declaration of intent to indict by July 30.
The case, which also left the suspect’s brother and mother wounded, shocked the community, with X posts reflecting outrage: “A father murdering his own daughter like this? Pure evil.” The investigation uncovered extensive evidence, including witness testimonies, ensuring a robust case. The incident adds to concerns about rising violence in East Jerusalem, where 14 similar cases were reported in 2025, prompting calls for increased community safety measures.
