Known for her iconic television roles and nominations for multiple Golden Globe and Emmy Awards, Anderson passed away at the age of 79, just one day shy of her 80th birthday, after a prolonged struggle with a serious illness.

In recent weeks, Anderson had been hospitalized in critical condition in Los Angeles, where her health deteriorated. News of her passing has left fans and colleagues mourning the loss of one of television’s most recognizable stars.

Loni was best known for her role as Jennifer Marlowe in the hit sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, where she starred for four seasons. Her performance earned her three Golden Globe nominations and two Emmy nods, cementing her place in the pantheon of classic American television.

Beyond her breakout role, Anderson made memorable appearances in popular shows such as The Love Boat, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and Melrose Place. She also had a successful modeling career and was once crowned a beauty queen.

In her personal life, Loni Anderson was married four times and is survived by two children. Her last husband was musician Bob Flick.

Her death follows the recent passing of Israeli actor Alon Aboutboul, marking a somber period for the international cultural community.
