The family of Avi Piamenta, the beloved flutist and singer who passed away at 69 on July 4, 2025, has released his unreleased song, “Soon You’ll Understand,” a poignant reflection of his Chassidic faith and hope for redemption. Shared on YouTube by COLlive.com in memory of Avraham Ben Yehuda, the track captures the essence of Piamenta’s spiritual journey as a baal teshuva and his lifelong devotion to the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s teachings.

Piamenta, a cornerstone of the Piamenta Band alongside his late brother, guitarist Yosi Piamenta, crafted a legacy of vibrant Jewish music blending rock, jazz, and soulful melodies. Their concerts, infused with ahavas Yisroel (love for fellow Jews) and belief in Moshiach, inspired generations. “Soon You’ll Understand,” written in English—a language Piamenta worked hard to master—explores the Jewish exile, framing hardships as divine steps toward final redemption. Lyrics like “What felt like pain was too high to see / What broke you down was building you free” and “Let Moshiach walking with a song / No more shadows, no delay” convey a message of enduring faith and divine presence.

“He worked on it for a very long time,” a family member told COLlive.com. “He put his everything into it… It was very meaningful to him, and he was very proud of it.” Piamenta used AI to preview the song’s sound but never released it before his sudden passing. The family’s decision to share the track honors his legacy, offering fans a final glimpse into his spiritual and musical genius.
