Gen Z Doomed: 60% of Young Americans Back Hamas Over Israel
60% of U.S. youth side with a terror group — while older generations remain firmly pro-Israel

No one can deny that Chinese-Qatari investments have yielded results.
A chilling new survey has exposed a generational fault line with dangerous consequences: more than 60% of Gen Z voters (ages 18–24) say they support Hamas over Israel, despite the group being internationally recognized as a terrorist organization.
The poll, conducted by Harvard-Harris, questioned 2,025 registered voters on August 20–21. The results showed a stark generational split: while younger Americans lean heavily toward Hamas, the broader population tells a different story. Among all U.S. adults, 74% support Israel, with only 26% backing Hamas.
The survey also uncovered sharp partisan divides. 82% of Republicans identified with Israel, compared to just 67% of Democrats, further evidence of the growing political polarization around the Jewish state.
When asked about a possible hostage deal, 58% of Americans said Israel should only agree if Hamas permanently leaves Gaza, showing that despite the Gen Z tilt, the majority still recognize the dangers of leaving the terror group intact.
The findings come against a backdrop of skyrocketing antisemitism across the U.S. In 2024 alone, 1,217 antisemitic incidents were reported in schools, a 69% jump from the previous year. In higher education, where Gen Z dominates, reports of harassment and attacks have surged. Jewish students increasingly hide their identity, removing kippahs, concealing Stars of David, and avoiding speaking Hebrew in public.
