Astronomer CEO Andy Byron was caught on a Coldplay concert kiss cam embracing HR chief Kristin Cabot, sparking affair rumors and social media backlash. On July 16, 2025, during Coldplay’s concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, a kiss cam moment turned into a public relations crisis for Astronomer CEO Andy Byron, 50, when he was filmed embracing Kristin Cabot, his company’s Chief People Officer, rather than his wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron. The footage, which went viral across TikTok and X, showed Byron with his arms around Cabot’s waist before he ducked behind a barrier and she covered her face, clearly startled by the jumbotron exposure. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin quipped, “Oh look at these two,” and added, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy,” prompting laughter from the 60,000-strong crowd. The clip, viewed millions of times, sparked widespread speculation about an extramarital affair, as Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, with whom he shares two young sons and a $1.2 million home in Northborough, Massachusetts.

Social media erupted with sympathy for Megan, an educator at Bancroft School. Her Facebook page, under “Meg Kerrigan,” was flooded with comments like, “I really hope if she sees all this and its new to her that she is surrounded by people who truly love and support her to help her get through this,” and “It’s so much worse seeing she’s obviously a kind person and a doting mother. You don’t deserve this.” By July 17, Megan deleted her Facebook and Instagram accounts, while Byron removed his LinkedIn profile.

Astronomer, a New York-based data orchestration firm valued at over $1.3 billion, has not commented, nor have Byron or Cabot addressed the allegations. Cabot, who joined Astronomer in November 2024, had been praised by Byron as a “proven leader” for her HR expertise. Posts on X amplified the scandal, with one user noting, “They’re both incredibly stupid, why go to a concert if you’re having an affair?” The incident, dubbed the “Coldplay Cheater Cam,” has raised questions about workplace ethics at Astronomer, which serves major clients like banks and media firms, as the company navigates this unprecedented controversy.
