Coldplay has announced changes to two of its upcoming London shows at Wembley Stadium due to a planned London Underground strike next week. The schedule shift has left fans around the world, including many from Israel, with tickets to shows they can no longer attend.

“We’re sorry to announce that due to a planned strike, we’ve had to reschedule the final two shows of our current Wembley run,” the band wrote on its official Instagram account.

The show originally scheduled for September 6 will now take place on September 5, while the September 7 concert has been moved to September 12. The band explained that without Underground service, safely transporting 82,000 attendees to and from the stadium would be impossible.

“We apologize for the disappointment, frustration, and unavoidable inconvenience this situation causes,” Coldplay added. Tickets purchased for the original dates remain valid for the new shows, and fans unable to attend the rescheduled concerts can request a full refund.

Fans Struggle With Travel Plans

Many fans who had planned trips to London around the concerts are now facing canceled flights, hotel bookings, and train reservations. Social media has been flooded with posts from Israeli fans attempting to sell or exchange tickets for the new dates.

“I have a great seat for September 12, but unfortunately I won’t be in town due to the date changes. Looking to buy or exchange a ticket for the September 5 show,” wrote one fan. “I’ve been waiting for this show for over a year. After the date changes, I’m trying to get a ticket for September 5,” added another. “This date shuffle creates a huge mess for our flights and hotel bookings,” lamented a third fan.

As the strike looms, Coldplay’s London fans are left scrambling to adjust plans, highlighting the ripple effect of transportation disruptions on major international events.
