Jerusalem in Concert: What’s Next in the City’s Vibrant Music Scene?
August brings a cultural revival to the Holy City with music festivals, open-air concerts, and unforgettable performances.

A Season of Festivals
Among the most anticipated events is the Hutzot Hayotzer Festival, returning for its 49th edition from August 4 to 16 at the iconic Sultan’s Pool. This beloved annual festival, organized by the Jerusalem Municipality and the Ariel Company, offers a mix of international arts, crafts, and nightly concerts by some of Israel’s top performers.
“This year, the festival launches a new concept: ‘Ke’homer Be’yad Hayotzer’ (Like Material in the Hands of the Creator),” announced the Jerusalem Municipality. “The chosen raw material is wood – symbolizing roots, community, and renewal.” Festivities begin each evening at 5:00 PM, offering attendees a full cultural immersion.
Later in the month, nature and music converge at the Live BaYa’ar Festival, taking place at the Peace Forest Amphitheater from August 31 to September 8. Organized in collaboration with Zappa Jerusalem, the City of David, and the Jerusalem Municipality, this open-air concert series highlights some of Israel’s most celebrated artists in a serene, forested setting.
Concertgoers can enjoy food and drink stalls starting at 7:30 PM, with performances beginning at 9:00 PM. The 2025 lineup includes:
“The pastoral atmosphere of the Peace Forest Amphitheater offers a magical setting to enjoy Israeli music at its finest,” reads the official announcement.

Ani Yerushalmi Concert Series
For those looking to catch a performance in a more intimate setting, the Ani Yerushalmi Concert Series continues at Zappa Jerusalem through August 19. These evening concerts, which began in May, celebrate Jerusalem’s cultural diversity with a selection of classic and contemporary Israeli music.
“Thrilling and moving shows with beloved songs, including classics from Israel and around the world. Come feel Jerusalem pride, and cheer artists from our city,” stated the Municipality of Jerusalem. Shows begin at 7:30 PM and run until 11:00 PM.
From large-scale festivals to cozy concert halls, Jerusalem’s August music calendar invites locals and tourists alike to celebrate art, resilience, and togetherness. As the city turns the page toward hope and renewal, its stages are ready to sing.
