Matti Caspi Breaks Down Live: Tribute Concert Turns Emotional
Israeli music legend Matti Caspi moved to tears at emotional tribute concert in Ra'anana, featuring top artists and raising funds for hostages' families through iconic duet performances.

Matti Caspi, one of Israel’s most celebrated musicians, took center stage at an emotional tribute concert this weekend, culminating in a heartfelt moment that left the composer in tears. The event, held at Ra'anana’s Amphitheater before an audience of 7,500, featured Israel’s top artists performing Caspi’s iconic songs in duets, including Gali Atari with Arik Sinai and Miri Mesika with Amir Dadon.
Originally organized as a fundraiser following revelations about Caspi’s health, the concert’s proceeds were ultimately directed to the Families of the Hostages organization. Tickets had sold out in advance, generating around two million shekels in contributions.
Caspi attended the concert and, moved by the performances, stepped on stage to personally thank the participating musicians.
“I’m happy to contribute my small part to the effort to bring the hostages home and support their families. You are in my heart and always will be until they all return,” he said.
“I want to thank my dear friends who have supported me during this time,” Caspi continued, his voice trembling. “And above all, my family, thanks to whom I am here, to Rachel, the love of my life, and to our two children.”
The evening opened with a stirring performance of “Yalduti Hashniya” by Shlomi Shabat. The concert was hosted by Roy Bar-Natan and featured a star-studded lineup, including Aviv Geffen, Eviatar Banai, Amir Dadon, Ester Rada, Arik Sinai, Arkadi Duchin, Guy Mazig, Gali Atari, Grainik & Alterman, Danny Robas, Haim Ulliel, Yam Gronich & Shlomo Gronich, Leah Shabat, Muni Mushonov & Avi Kushnir, Miri Mesika, Nono, Ivri Lider, Adi Cohen, Riki Gal, Rami Kleinstein, Ran Danker, Shalom Hanoch, and Shlomo Artzi.
The night was both a celebration of Caspi’s enduring musical legacy and a poignant reminder of the collective efforts to support Israel’s families in times of crisis, leaving the audience inspired and deeply moved.
