MTV Awards Ceremony: Lady Gaga Breaks Records, Israeli Talent Shines
Lady Gaga dominates 2025 MTV VMA nominations with 12 nods, while Israeli directors Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia earn recognition for Sabrina Carpenter's music video.


Lady Gaga leads this year’s nominations with an impressive 12 nods, including Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, and Album of the Year. Other top nominees include Bruno Mars, Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, Rosalía, Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Bad Bunny, Ed Sheeran, Jelly Roll, Miley Cyrus, Tate McRae, Justin Bieber, Gracie Abrams, as well as Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. The artists are once again competing for the title of the most awarded artists in VMA history.
Adding to the excitement, Israeli talent is proudly represented by video artists Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia, who are nominated for directing and editing categories for Sabrina Carpenter’s music video “Manchild.”
The ceremony will be held in New York City and will feature spectacular performances by some of the biggest names dominating radio waves and music streaming platforms worldwide. Major awards to be presented include Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Artist of the Year, and Best New Artist.
The event will be broadcast in Israel on MTV Music Channel (Channel 204 on yes, Channel 189 on HOT) with Hebrew translation on Monday, September 8th, at 9:00 PM.
