Regina Spektor Confronts Pro-Palestinian at Concert, Sparking Tense Exchange
Jewish singer Regina Spektor firmly addresses pro-Palestinian protesters who disrupted her Portland concert, highlighting tensions between entertainment venues and political activism.

During a recent performance by acclaimed singer Regina Spektor in Portland, several audience members began shouting pro-Palestinian slogans, leading to a brief but tense exchange between the artist and protestors.
According to footage circulating on social media, one individual interrupted the show by shouting "Free Palestine," prompting a strong response from Spektor, who is Jewish and has publicly voiced support for the return of Israeli hostages following the October 7 events.
“You're just yelling at a Jewish woman,” Spektor replied from the stage. “I don’t know what you think you’re doing. I really appreciate the security.”
Another attendee then reportedly added, “I see children dying, it hurts,” further escalating the situation. Spektor responded calmly but firmly: “I think you should leave. This isn’t the place for that conversation. I’m a real person who came here to play music. If anyone else wants to leave, now is your chance. Anyone else? You’re welcome to go.”
The 45-year-old artist, known for her soulful performances and socially conscious views, continued the concert after the disruption. The incident highlights the growing tensions around global events making their way into live entertainment spaces.
