Fallen Soldier Avraham Azulai is laid to rest | WATCH
Reservist soldier Avraham Azulai, who fell in battle in the Gaza Strip yesterday, was a resident of Shaked Farm in the Yitzhar Hills, located in the Samaria region. He is the third fallen soldier from Yitzhar. Samaria Regional Council Head Yossi Dagan paid tribute: “He was wholeheartedly devoted to the hilltop communities and to the IDF.”

A day after falling in battle in the Gaza Strip, Master Sergeant (res.) Avraham Azulai was laid to rest Thursday at the Mount Herzl Military Cemetery in Jerusalem. Thousands attended the funeral to honor the 31-year-old soldier, who had married his wife, Ruth, just three months ago.
Lt. Col. Moshe HaKadosh delivered a eulogy on behalf of the IDF:
“We stand here today with your family, loved ones, and commanders—shocked and heartbroken by your untimely death. For 641 days, Israel has been engulfed in a multi-front war. In these difficult days, the IDF is intensifying operations in Gaza to dismantle Hamas’ rule. You enlisted out of a deep sense of mission and showed extraordinary dedication. After your regular service, you continued in the reserves and chose to take a leading role in the engineering efforts in Gaza.”
“You were one of the finest sons of our nation,” he added. “A brave soldier who always moved forward with personal responsibility and resolve. A strong and steadfast man who instilled confidence in everyone around him. You wanted to protect your comrades and your country. Your legacy will stay with us—not only as a brave and devoted man but as someone with an enormous heart. Your passing leaves behind a deep and painful void.”
