Ultra-Orthodox Youth Arrested on Suspicion of Assaulting Minors
The Bnei Brak-Ramat Gan police announced the arrest of a young man resembling a yeshiva student on suspicion of committing serious offenses against minors.

The Bnei Brak-Ramat Gan police department announced today (Wednesday) the arrest of a young man with the appearance of a yeshiva student on suspicion of committing serious assault against minors.
The suspect was taken into custody last week. He was brought before the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court this morning, and his detention was extended until this Sunday.
In a public appeal, the police urged anyone who has been a victim of the suspect or who has knowledge of similar incidents involving him to file a complaint with the station. The police did not provide specific details about the nature of the alleged acts.
The arrest comes as the Bnei Brak police continue their operations within the city. Earlier this week, at the start of the school year, police reported the arrest of 29 undocumented foreign workers in the city.
Unfortunately, cases of sexual assault in ultra-Orthodox cities are not uncommon. A few months ago, a man was arrested in Bnei Brak on suspicion of attempting to commit a serious act against an 11-year-old boy in a synagogue. According to the investigation, the suspect entered a prayer room, disrobed, and tried to lift the boy onto a table while removing his clothes. Citizens who witnessed the act intervened and alerted the police, who arrested the man.
