Twice in One Day: A New Wave of Missile Attacks from Yemen
Air raid sirens sounded across Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria for the second time in a single day as Israel intercepted a missile launched from Yemen, prompting a Houthi official to declare a new military strategy with "no more red lines."

For the second time on Wednesday, a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted by Israeli air defense systems. The launch triggered air raid sirens across a wide area, including Jerusalem, the Judean Plain, Samaria, and the Dead Sea region, sending hundreds of thousands of Israeli residents rushing to shelters. According to a military source in Yemen affiliated with the Iran-led axis of resistance and the Houthi rebel organization, the group is adopting a new military strategy against Israel, revealing to the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar that there are "no more red lines" in the ongoing war.
Following the recent Israeli operations that eliminated senior Houthi officials in Yemen, the Lebanese newspaper reports that Saudi Arabia is also increasing its military presence in the area. A Houthi official, Daif-Allah al-Shami, from the Houthi's political bureau, stated in a video interview with Lebanese channel Al-Mayadeen, "Our people in the armed and air forces are not stopping at a certain threshold but are looking for points of strength and weakness on which to act. The development is ongoing, and the missile capabilities are evolving and may bring real surprises to the enemy that it did not anticipate because Yemen's military arsenal is vast and also includes knowledge and expertise. With the help of Allah, we will strike with air attacks that will surprise everyone."
The first missile launch of the day occurred in the morning, setting off sirens in central Israel and the lowlands before it was successfully intercepted by the IDF. The IDF's Home Front Command stated that residents could leave protected spaces, and emergency services confirmed there were no reported casualties or damage from either launch.
The recent Houthi missile launches follow a series of recent failures. Just days before these launches, two ballistic missiles fell en route without requiring interception. A separate ballistic missile aimed at a merchant ship fell harmlessly into the water, and three drone launches toward Israel over consecutive days were all intercepted without activating sirens. This recent activity, including today's two launches, follows Israel's "Drop of Luck" operation in Sana'a last week, which eliminated key Houthi operatives.
