US President Donald Trump has publicly backed Israel's demand for a comprehensive hostage deal, calling on Hamas to immediately release all remaining living captives. In a post on his social media platform, the former U.S. President wrote, “Tell Hamas to immediately return all 20 hostages, not 2 or 5 or 7, and things will change quickly. It will end!”

Trump's statement aligns with previous remarks where he has called for an end to the war, citing the severe damage it is causing to Israel's international public image. In a recent interview, he acknowledged that while Israel might be winning the war militarily, it is "not winning the public relations war."

"The world is looking and seeing difficult images, and that's changing public opinion," Trump said, adding, "They have to finish this war. It's causing Israel enormous damage to its image."

In a recent interview with The Daily Caller, Trump reflected on the shifting political climate in Washington, saying Israel’s influence in Congress has weakened dramatically compared to 20 years ago. He blamed the rise of progressive lawmakers like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for normalizing criticism of Israel.

Trump reiterated his strong support for Israel, highlighting his own actions, such as the U.S. attacks against Iran. He also stressed the importance of remembering the October 7th attack. "It was a truly terrible day," he said. "People try to deny that it even happened, just like some deny the Holocaust. It's a crazy thing, but we must not forget October 7th."

He did not directly address recent harsh comments about Israel from some of his allies, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Steve Bannon, but repeated his warning that Israel must move quickly to end the war to avoid further international damage.
