A fire broke out in Haifa, with large teams of firefighting forces in Haifa, assisted by teams from all coastal district stations and six firefighting planes from the Elad squadron, continuing attempts to control the large fire in the area of the Nahal Giborim neighborhood in Haifa.

Currently, four buildings have been affected by the fire, and another temporary structure has been damaged. At present, the main effort is to stop the spread of the fire towards additional structures and evacuate residents from nearby buildings.

Police officers from the coastal district began evacuating several residents from the Khalisa neighborhood on Gush Etzion Street in Haifa, with the assistance of firefighting and rescue forces.

Teams from the Haifa municipality are currently in an operations center established on-site, and they are working in full coordination with the fire and rescue services, the Israeli police, and Magen David Adom.

So far, residents from the streets of Gush Etzion, Usfiya, Zila Iram, Raziel, and Yaakov Pat have been evacuated from their homes, and they are requested to move down Gush Etzion towards the heroes. Educational institutions in the area are being evacuated at this time. Welfare teams from the municipality are on their way to assist the residents who have been evacuated from their homes and gathered at one of the centers in the area. The Haifa municipality is asking the public not to approach the area and to comply with the instructions of the security and rescue forces.
